This Friday (5th April) is Mental Health Awareness Day at 212.

There will be 15 minute sofa talks on a common mental health issue people have to deal with on a daily basis and how they manage it.

Each talk will be followed by a short break, and after the sofa talks, there will be music and then a Q&A  in which anyone in the room can ask a question and anyone can answer.

Organisers Russell and Mariella have booked a selection of live musicians to play short acoustic sets, and the event will close with a half hour of music. After this, guests are encouraged to stay and socialise.

The event will be raising money for Andy’s Man Club, a charity that deals with men’s mental heath issues. All takings will go to this charity.

The organisers have stressed that the event is also about raising awareness for everyone, and that Andy’s Man Club is just the chosen charity on this occasion.

Videographers will be present throughout, with a view to making a short film.

Tickets are just £2.50 and are available from Doghouse and 212 or by messaging the organisers.
